About us
Who are we ?
We are a Montessori school based in Randburg in the
vibrant city of Johannesburg, South Africa. We see our school as a “home-away-from-home” where children are given freedom to discover themselves
and develop their individual personalities and talents within a controlled environment
through our curriculum that is rendered in a calm atmosphere and environment
that is equipped to bring out the best in them . Our aim is to provide children with a concrete and authentic Montessori experience where children are cared for and nurtured.
Our school focuses on teaching children independence, creativity, problem-solving, hands on learning, and collaborative play from an early
age. Our goal is to cultivate a lifelong learner through a thoughtfully prepared environment where children develop their full potential by nurturing their intellectual, physical, emotional and social development, and assume responsibilities through their desire to learn with love and respect
We enrol children from 6 months to Grade R ( 6 years) and we offer half day and full day options which run from 06:30
to 13:00 and 18:00 respectively and we also provide an aftercare for older children in Primary Schools.
Our school has a wonderful community spirit where people really care. The
wellbeing of the children is at the heart of the school; ensuring that their needs,
and those of their families and carers, can be met. There is a vibrant and
inclusive atmosphere here, where diversity is celebrated, and mutual respect
fostered.
When it comes to security here at Storyville, our motto is “prevention is better than cure”. One of our main security
features is our code security access control system, where parents access the gate using a security code. We have
16 cameras in our school monitoring our school premises, all entrances and exits as well as every other security area
of our school. We have a security guard monitoring the school from morning to evening.
We are linked to CSS who have a vehicle patrolling 24 hours a day 7 days a week and our school is behind an electrified fence.
To ensure that, in the unlikely event of an emergency, we are prepared, we are also linked to Vitalmed Emergency
Response who can be at our school premises in a matter of minutes.
