My teaching philosophy is rooted in active learning I strive to create interactive lessons that encourage children to participate, ask questions and share their views with their peers. My philosophy approach assists learners in developing critical thinking skills and retaining information more effectively. I also believe in diverse teaching strategies whereby all students feel welcomed, no matter their background, disabilities and challenges. An inclusive education is part of my teaching philosophy.

Storyville Philosophy of Education
Storyville is a school inspired by the Montessori approach. What this means in terms of our teaching and learning practice is that our curriculum draws on our immediate context, The fundamental idea is order in environment and mind within space, children are free to follow their interests, choose their work and progress at their own pace while being guided or lead by teachers.
With our intergration of the CAPS curriculum, our aim is to ensure that all our learners are fully equiped and have knowledge of our South African curriculum. CAPS outlines specifc learning outcomes for each grade, covering a wide range of subjects and skills which are intergrated in our 6- 9 environment.
Below are the subject that our 6- to 9 learners will be doing in the 6-9 classroom, this is not a vast change as our Montessori philosophy incorporates learning areas that will enable learners to reach their full potential.
